The Department of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London claims that over the past 25 years, its graduates have been instrumental in turning contemporary art into one of the most dynamic art forms in British culture.

The Department of Art’s postgraduate degree show (17 – 20 July) offers visitors an opportunity to see for themselves the new graduates’ emerging contemporary art practice.

Students graduating from Goldsmith’s MFA Fine Art programme will present their critically engaged, dynamic and interdisciplinary works in this year’s Postgraduate Degree show. The show will encompass a broad range of practices including digital media, film, installation, painting, performance, photography, print, sculpture, sound, textiles and writing.

The Department of Art at Goldsmiths has a world-leading reputation that brings together students and researchers from all over the globe. Goldsmiths’ Art students form an important part of London’s energetic art world, and participate in events and shows in the capital and beyond.

Seven Turner Prize winners (Laure Provost, Mark Wallinger, Steve McQueen, Gillian Wearing, Damien Hirst, Antony Gormley and Grenville Davey) and dozens of Turner Prize nominees are graduates of Goldsmiths.

The Department of Art’s degree show is part of Goldsmiths Degree Shows 2015, a series of performances and exhibitions taking place on the college’s south-east London campus and at venues across the capital through the summer till the end of September.
