At present in the UK and most EU countries, you can take a photograph of, or including, a public building or work of art as long as you are standing on public ground, and you can publish it where you like - in a magazine such as Cassone, on your Facebook page or own website - wherever you want. A few countries (such as France) do not give you this right - you need permission from the building's owner or architect to show the building (or public sculpture, etc) in a published photo.
There has been an attempt to extend this right – called Freedom of Panorama – to all EU countries but instead it is now being proposed that the right be removed in all countries. This is a serious threat to magazines such as Cassone, and people publishing art and architecture books, magazines, journal articles etc. Please sign the petition against this restriction of a basic freedom:

You can also write to your MEP (Member of the European Parliament).
