This free-to-attend exhibition takes place within the sumptuous surrounds of the 208-year-old library where Roget’s Thesaurus was created, and Elizabeth Gaskell shared literary musings with Charlotte Bronte.
One of the participants is Manchester-based press photographer, Jon Parker Lee, who celebrates ten years of freelancing, after a solo retrospective at 2022NQ Gallery in Dec 2013.
The Portico Library really is one of Manchester’s gems. It’s such a beautiful space and, as I celebrate my tenth year trading, I’m delighted to exhibit my photography there, said Jon.
The show runs from 5 March to 29 March 2014 and is open Mon-Fri 9.30am to 4.30pm. Thursday to 7.30pm and Saturday 11am to 3pm.
