Bankside Gallery is the location for ‘Off the Wall’, a joint exhibition by the Royal Watercolour Society and Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. The exhibition focuses on a selection of contemporary watercolours and original prints. With a vast array of printmaking and painting techniques on display, and an extensive variety of subject matter from the abstract to the figurative, this exhibition will undoubtedly include something to appeal to all tastes. The displayed artworks are available to take away immediately ‘off the wall’ at point of purchase. A choice of unframed pieces will also be available, and Bankside Gallery’s bookshop has a variety of art publications and attractive cards and gifts.

The Royal Watercolour Society represents the finest contemporary watercolour painting in Britain. It is the centre of excellence for water-based media on paper, which allows for a diverse and interesting range of approaches to the medium of watercolour.

Established in 1880, the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakersis Britain’s longest established elected body of professional artists who make prints. Its purpose is to promote and encourage the highest standards of creative and technical excellence in printmaking in all its diverse forms.

Bankside Gallery is just down the steps from the Founders Arms pub, in between the newly opened Blackfriars South Station entrance and Tate Modern. It is also within 10 minutes walking distance of Southwark, St Paul and Mansion House tube stations, and just a stroll along the river from Waterloo and London Bridge.
