Fatma Abu Rumi’s one-woman exhibition, ‘Between Sorrow and Beauty’, at the L. A. Mayer Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem is due to close at the end of this month. The exhibition is the work of an Arab artist who explores the lives of other Arab women through her paintings, which incorporate such inclusions as beads and human hair. See Sarah Lawson's review, 'The sorrow and beauty of Arab women' in Cassone's June issue.
