Len Tabner: An Artist in his Element
13 July–8 September 2013
The work of one of the UK’s most important and influential landscape painters will feature across all three floors of Lemon Street Gallery, Truro, for the very first time. Tabner (b.1946) shares with us in majestic grandeur his ability to identify with nature. ‘Len Tabner – An Artist in his Element’ will explore his paintings and drawings from the 1960s and ’70s, through to the present day.
Lemon Street Gallery is run and owned by Louise Jones, well known in the gallery world for understanding the importance of art as an investment and will only stock original pieces of work. Daughter of acclaimed Scottish artist Hamish Macdonald, Louise believes art should be uncompromising, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t accessible and therefore should hold its value. Introducing a new exhibition with Len Tabner this July, Louise consistently drives interest to the true art scene in the southwest and displays art of the moment.
