For Rosenfeld Porcini’s July edition of Fitzrovia Lates, curator and art historian Evie Salmon will lead a talk and discussion of the gallery’s current themed exhibition 'The Birth of Cinema... and Beyond'

The gallery will remain open until 9p.m. for Fitzrovia Lates, which sees over 20 galleries in the area open late on the last Thursday of every month

‘The Birth of Cinema... and Beyond is the third in Rosenfeld Porcini’s series of themed exhibitions and presents mixed-media works by seven contemporary artists alongside ten Old Master painters. The exhibition reveals how a virtual idea of cinema existed many centuries prior to the invention of the medium itself and further explores how the invention of the moving image has had a significant effect on the practice of the artists whose works are shown.
