The Glass House, New Canaan, Connecticut, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is running a 2013 season of ‘Conversations in Context’, generously supported by Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, a leading supplier of building envelope solutions in North America.
Hosts of this season's Conversations in Context series include: Peter Brant, Elizabeth Diller, Peter Eisenman + Cynthia Davidson, Murray Moss + Francois de Menil, Annabelle Selldorf, Bjarke Ingels, and James Welling.Visitors will explore the Glass House compound during evening tours hosted by luminaries from the fields of architecture, design, and the arts.
Since the 1940s, the Glass House has served as a place of inspiration, education, and conversation across creative disciplines. Its 49-acre landscape, 14 architectural structures, and world-class art collection continue to draw members of an international creative community to engage with its rich legacy. 'Conversations in Context' invites leaders from creative fields to reflect on the site's past, present, and future, and to contribute their perspectives on the Glass House and its significance to contemporary debates.
'Conversations in Context' builds on the site's legacy of creative dialogue by welcoming leaders from different fields to interpret this rich, enigmatic place and explore ideas with the public," states Henry Urbach, Director of the Glass House.

Events take place from 5.30 to 8.00 p.m. on select Thursdays throughout the tour season, which runs from until 30 November 2013.
