The Association of Illustrators (AOI) is extending the call for entries for the Illustration Awards 2013 to midnight on Sunday 10 March 2013.
This is to enable AOI to manage the level of interest and demand received for the new Illustration Awards and ensure that all those illustrators wishing to enter have ample time to upload and pay for their entries. .
There is a strong showing of entries from AOI members and the UK illustration community and entrIes from 17 countries across Europe, North America, Africa, Australasia and Asia.
There are eight categories for submissions: Advertising, Books, Children's Books, Design, Editorial and Social Comment, Public Realm, Research and Knowledge Communication, and Self-Initiated Projects.
This year's judges are professionals from the competition categories including creative directors and publishers from advertising and publishing, from McCann London, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Random House, and Walker Books, and designers, curators, and artistic directors from Royal Mail, Royal College of Art, V&A and Church of London.
