Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is continuing its association with the international art world with a new exhibition of works from Saatchi Online, the global platform established by the Saatchi Gallery, one of London’s leading contemporary art galleries.
Now showing, ‘Burning Bright’features a selection of works from Saatchi Online, which was launched by the Saatchi Gallery to give emerging artists the chance to showcase and sell their work to art lovers all over the world. It is now the largest online art gallery in the world. All the works in the exhibition are for sale.
This exhibition gives guests at the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill a unique opportunity to interact with contemporary art outside the normal art environment of a gallery or museum, with the added bonus of enabling them to purchase works of art at reasonable prices by the new talent of today and the great talent of tomorrow.
The exhibition features works by rising stars such as Daisy Clarke, who has previously exhibited at the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts, London, and counts among her collectors Hugh Grant and Jeremy Irons; Michael Newton, long-listed for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize in 2012; Geoff Diego Litherland, who graduated in 2012 from Goldsmiths, University of London having won the prestigious Warden’s Purchase Prize; and Heloise Delegue, a recent graduate of the Sorbonne in Paris.
In addition, the Hyatt in association with the Republic of Fritz Hansen has created a special Saatchi Suite for guests to stay in and experience contemporary art in an intimate setting. Art works by Saatchi Online artists will also be adorning the walls of the Saatchi Suite and all items in the suite will be for sale. Highlights include: collages by Kazuya Tsuji, a recent graduate of Chelsea College of Art and Design in London; new paintings by Alex Hanna who has exhibited at the BP Portrait Award at the National Gallery in London; and Effects of the Earth’s Motions, a wall-based installation by Chantal Powell, who has previously exhibited at the Venice Biennale.
The Saatchi Suite will be furnished with pieces from internationally known Danish design brand Republic of Fritz Hansen™. Established in 1872, Fritz Hansen has worked with a variety of influential architects and designers including Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz and Jaime Hayon.
