New York's Whitney Museum of American Art wants you to try to 'transcend your sense of self' in their current Yayoi Kusama show, especially in the installation Fireflies on the Water, on view 15 - 28 August. You will need a timed ticket for that part of the show, as overcrowding would spoil the experience. You can obtain your ticket, included in the price of your exhibition admission ticket, on the day of your visit. See the Whitney's website for further details.
Kusama's work was shown at Tate Britain earlier this year: you can read Jeremy Spencer's review in our May issue. Kusama also took part in Roppongi Art Night 2012 earlier this year.
