An audio visual presentation for the Rifle Hall Trust Fund
Lee Miller is thought to be the only woman combat photographer with the allied infantry in Europe during the Second World War. This presentation gives a unique insight into Miller’s life and war experiences, enlivened by her own photographs and written articles, letters and dispatches. The production is presented by her son, Antony Penrose, and Lee Miller’s own words are spoken by her granddaughter Ami Bouhassane and set to a stream of Millers’ photographs.
Sunday 8 January 2012 at 7.30 p.m.
in the Rifle Hall, Halesworth, Suffolk
£10.00 (some concessions)
Advance Tickets only available from The Halesworth Bookshop.
The presentation contains some war time images which can be disturbing.
All proceeds go to The Rifle Hall Trust Fund set up in 2010 to refurbish Halesworths Community Hall, which had been unloved and underused for many years. The aim of the Trust is to make it once more a hall that Halesworth can be proud of and enjoyed by everyone.
